Finished The Expanse last night.

Very underwhelming Season 6. Only 6 episodes. Everything was very rushed. If you hadn't read the books you were probably lost. Non book readers probably wondered what the hell was going on with the Laconia storyline.

My brother in law and his wife were watching it over in Turkey and were very confused about a lot of it. I generally enjoyed it but yeah it was super rushed.

I've watched the new Reacher series, at least the first 2 episodes. I just read the book earlier this year so it's pretty fresh in my mind but I've enjoyed it a lot. Just really entertaining mindless entertainment, the dude who plays Reacher is good, I'm digging the blonde cop, just an enjoyable dumb watch.

I read some tweets about it being good. Some folks seemed upset about him constantly mentioning that he’s 6’5”. I feel like that’s consistent with the books, which devote like 20% of the text to his physical description, so it prob wouldn’t bother me.

It may also be them just saying “Hey look at us, we didn’t use Tom Cruise like the movie retards did!” And I’m cool with that too, tbh.

Yeah, dude is a physical specimen but it seems like the entire part of the character, so seemed appropriate. Dude isn't as good of an actor as Cruise but it's an enjoyable series.

This show is such a dumb, fun watch. I'm really enjoying it. Also, episode 4, BOOM, boobs.

I watched this documentary:

Val Kilmer has miles of video camera footage going back to when he was a child. The first hour or so is fascinating, as you see behind the scenes stuff when he started on Broadway, Top Gun, Weird Science, Heat etc.

It kind of fizzles at the end after the Island of Dr. Moreau.

There is no mention of Kill The Irishman which is a flaw.

I would give it a really solid rec, even though it doesn't stick the landing.
