His firing at ESPN was pretty late and he made a ton of money there (reportedly 7 figures). My guess is that he's got a severance package and is pretty happy with some time off. Maybe he'll write a book or something.
Both McShay & Goldsberry are PMT guys so hope they get the Russilo treatment from The Ringer and are still allowed to appear there.
