So, I saw Madame Web last night and let me just start off by saying what an abomination of a film and to cinema overall. Thank god Dune 2 is on the horizon (Praise Shai Hulud). But, this movie comes about 2 months after Anyone But You. Which I didn't mind on the whole, but Sydney Sweeney is not good in that movie. She does not have the comedic gene and it looks like she is forcing every line read. She wasn't great in Madame Web either. She is fantastic in Euphoria & White Lotus. The one saving grace for her movie career so far is that she was in Once upon a Time in Hollywood, but that was a minor role and I don't really give her any credit or discredit her at all. However, I am writing all of this to say two things;

1. I want Sydney Sweeney to be a good actress. She is a bombshell, this generations Megan Fox for looks. But she is bombing in her movie career and maybe she is destined to just be a TV career gal, and that is fine. TV is completely different than what it once was.

2. For ALL the motherfucking times I have had to hear Bill on the Rewatchables doing recasting couch and insert Sydney Sweeney into any of those conversations and movies, I feel vindicated. So much egg on Bill's face because for all the movies he has mentioned her as a possible recast, those movies would all be far worse with her in it. I hope our man's Sydney Sweeney stock isn't looking to get bought back at these overvalued levels. We may have a GME on our hands here.

Lastly, I am an avid Hot Ones watcher, and her Hot Ones appearance was abysmal. Only thing that was good that came out of that was the meme.
