Nice little victory for your hooping team. But in fairness, beating Duke (or UNC) this year doesn't mean much as neither is all that great. We beat UNC a couple weeks ago and have lost 2 straight since!

Is Duke not good this year? I recall something about Coach K bitching about having to play this season, coincidentally right after a bad loss? Am I making this up?
I assume if they had a championship caliber squad he'd say it's important for the kids to play these games.

Duke is not their typical juggernaut squadron this year. They're currently ranked 20th instead of their usual top 5 ranking. That could be a reason why Coach K wants to punt on this season. It's about time for his 'back' to flare up.

Some guy us wearing a 2019 Virginia Cavaliers National Champions sweatshirt here. I had to Wiki it to see that that was real. No recollection of that Final Four ever taking place. And they played Texas Tech? That just seems really weird.

And a year after they were bounced in the first round by UMBC. Remember that?

Year after Virginia lost in the first round as #1 seed

They had curtains up at the Barclays Center for yesterday's opening round ACC tournament games. What a colossal clusterfuck having the tournament in Brooklyn is. It should be in Greensboro or Charlotte almost every single year.

Isnt that how every league tournament is? And hell, round 1 of the NCAAs.
Maybe Im just used to the A10. unless its in Dayton, I cant imagine anyone going to random games.

Yeah, I do think we're trending in the direction of less people seeing games in person because being in front of a 4k at home (or wherever there's a great tv setup) is better than shelling out a ton of money on hotel, airfare, and tickets (and expensive food and beer) to be in person.
