I finished the series. Season 5 started out strong, but ended like season 3 as sort of a bloated mess. I really did not like the final episode.
I rate the seasons as 4, 1, 2, 5, 3

There was way too much going on. Tommy was battling the Chinese, the Billy Boys, the fascists, the IRA, was Gold on his side or not. I didn't even know who the bartender was who apparently was the inside source against the Peaky Blinders. The Jewish Gangster came back and was not killed? That made no sense.
The last scene would have been a good end to the series I guess, but it is doubtful that Tommy died as they were planning a season 6
