I too am intrigued by the Michigan-Minnesota game, though I think both teams will be disappointments. Remember in 2016 when Texas beat Notre Dame in a really awesome shootout in week 1 and there was a lot of "Wow Texas is back, they beat a national title contender!" and then Notre Dame went like 4-8 and Texas was under .500? I could absolutely seeing that same storyline playing out after this one.

any theories why jim harbaugh's so mediocre in college? he seemed like a natural. i don't remember anyone ever being successful in the NFL, go down a level, and fail. i guess there's not much of a history of anyonenleaving the NFL as a top coach and purposely going to college. still, it's bewildering

he was excellent at Stanford. my best guess is michigan woo'ed him so hard and he was so lionized by sports media prior to taking the Michigan job as a great coach that he started sniffing his farts and stopped doing as many of the things that made him a great coach

I think that he is "weird" in a way that somehow is okay in the NFL, easy to handle at Stanford, and just bizarre at Michigan.
He's also been awful with quarterback recruiting/choices.
Isn't it a little racist to call it Black Friday? - Joy Behar

Yeah not having an Andrew Luck is not helping. Kinda like LSU never turning the corner til Burrows showed
