I was going to do a top 5 Jon Lovitz movies post but I don't think I could get to 5, so I'll just put this random thought here:
Caught a bit of League of Their Own this weekend, and man, I had forgotten how fucking funny Jon Lovitz is in that movie. Just absolute perfection, a Brady Anderson-esque performance for him given the rest of his career.

Fun fact: Lovitz says the name of my home town in that film.
Isn't it a little racist to call it Black Friday? - Joy Behar

I watched some of Naked Gun last night. Forgot that the mayor was Tony's mom on The Sopranos, and the Angels manager was Joe Cabot from Reservoir Dogs. The Mariners manager looked super familiar too but I can't find his name on the internets.

Wolf mentioning how terrible of a person Rosamund Pike is in both Gone Girl and I Care A Lot got me thinking of something that was in my head last night...at some point there's only so much ACTING you can do and that just kind of seems like the way that she is, right? I think that about Michael Shannon in movies too, he's such a convincing psycho in so many movies that I think he's legitimately got to be somewhat crazy.

I think you may be on to something here.
Also when I first read Michael Shannon, I was picturing Michael Madsen. I feel like he's probably a real-life psycho too.

It may be tough to stand by James these days, but this still feels like a real pussy move by Seth Rogen. Obviously don't know anything about them but i feel like they were probably pretty good friends after making 4 movies together...i want to say if i were Rogen i'd just "no comment" my way around this until Franco gets in real trouble or is exonerated. I guess Seth has his own metoo rumors out there.
Here's a random thing it makes me think about...you know that Morning Show show that nobody watched (no, you didn't watch it), where Steve Carrell is meeting with the movie director, and they're both in trouble for metooing but the director is worse? This feels like that. OK, great job torturing that metaphor wokel, see you out there.

I watched that show.
I dont really recall that scene.
I know that the station director covering up for Carell was a bit of a big deal.

The director was Martin Short playing like a Woody Allen type.
