if anyone wants to do a deep dive on rural South Carolina, the Murtaugh family murders are fucking INSANE and it's going to make a great movie one day.
The patriarch died of "natural causes" a couple days ago, i assume he offed himself though. The family is a combo of the Nothing But Trouble judge, the mafia, and the banjo playing hillfolk in Deliverance. Again, this will be an INCREDIBLE movie.
My high school's sports teams have been the Tomahawks ever since I went there, and presumably for a long time before that. Of course people got fake mad about this, and there were rumors last spring about getting rid of the name. Apparently I missed that during Covid they actually made a name change. I learned of the change tonight, when a girl walked into Subway wearing a t-shirt with this logo on it:
