When kids are all back in school and it snows, let them have a snow day.
When kids are failing across the country at a record pace, maybe try to teach them some shit that day they are home already instead of the Peter Pan’s making Frosty the Snowman
Probably kids benefit more from being outside than whatever "learning" is occurring virtually.
My ex-niece got a 4.0 her first quarter, after failing German and English last year. Even she has enough awareness to have said, I am only doing well because it is so easy now.
Safer at home MJ. Outside the virus lives all around us waiting to kill 0.5% of us.
Don't worry guys, I don't 100% trust these numbers, but if these are even close to true, this is an interesting breakdown regarding COVID transmission (It's based on contact tracing in New York (State I believe, not just City):
Oh weird, media production is the least likely place to get Covid. Who could possibly have seen such a report coming from the... media (I have no idea if this is from a media source).

I don't see motorcycle rally on there?
I was assured that the Sturgis rally caused, at minimum, half a billion cases.

They shut down KJ2's school because a whopping three people got the vid. Mind you, I cannot confirm but I imagine none of these cases are kids, which means either our heroes or staff ignored the warning not to gather or travel over the holidays. You know, the same warning us parents got? Superintendent said they will be remote until 12/23, or the last day before break, and then re-evaluate the return after the new year.
Superintendent then sends out his weekly Saturday buzzkill newsletter, saying among other things that the middle school will delay return to in person by a week, then near the end of it says KJ2's school is eligible to return to in person on 12/21.
Huh? So, which is it?
Fast forward to this morning, when KJ2's principal sends out a clarification that yes, they will be eligible to return on 12/21, but they determined "However, it was decided it would be too disruptive to return for just a couple of days."
Yes, like the entire year has already been running smooth as silk. Meanwhile KJ1's school is still hybrid, which is also so handy, and they sent home a packet of worksheets "just in case" they shut down. I fucking hate these people.

We bought some heaters to do Christmas in the garage or something. MIL said that heaters spread the virus. She also said earlier in the year the virus was afraid of light. mj, can you confirm?

I am unaware of heaters impact on the virus. I think there was some early thought that sunlight could hinder the virus, but I am not sure where the science ended up on that point.
