California politicians continue to flout pandemic rules they enact:
Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, who was spotted eating al fresco at a Santa Monica restaurant last week just hours after she cast a vote supporting a temporary closure of outdoor dining in the county. Her justification? Outdoor dining poses too much of a health risk.
San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, who spent Thanksgiving at a family dinner that included eight people from five households. State public health orders limit gatherings to no more than three households. He knew that.
And San Francisco Mayor London Breed, who attended a birthday dinner at the French Laundry, the night after the governor's dinner in a group of eight. Her city prohibits restaurants from serving groups larger than six.
My friend who is an ER doc in Oakland says his hospital is fine and not overburdened.
I guess I blame Wolf for all of this.
Hard to believe people who act like this might be inclined to pull some strings to get certain election results. I didn't read the article, though.
AND Fugly JENNINGS IS FUGLY!!!!! Awful White Female Liberal: Eat a dick kite

It's absurd how many of these people seem to be completely clueless about the optics of their own actions compared to what they're asking others to do. I really have no issue with him having 20 people at his private event, or with flying on a private jet to spend time elsewhere with his family. But to do these things while telling people they have to stay home, and to not realize how it looks to normal people... How the fuck can you expect anyone to take you seriously?
We have a light snow that isn’t accumulating today.
This was a post from a former neighbor/teacher.
“Possibly unpopular opinions: give us snow days even while virtual learning and keep schools closed until there’s a vaccine available for everyone 🤷🏼♀️“

And they wonder why Parents want schools open
Those are 2 completely unrelated thoughts.
"Keep schools closed until there's a vaccine available for everyone" is Chicken Little whiny teachers' union nonsense. "Give us snow days even while virtual learning" is an opinion I happen to agree with. Snow days are one of the best parts of childhood. No school today and I get to go sledding all day? Fuck yes. Kids shouldn't have to miss out on that just because we have the technology to still have "school" on that day.

When kids are all back in school and it snows, let them have a snow day.
When kids are failing across the country at a record pace, maybe try to teach them some shit that day they are home already instead of the Peter Pan’s making Frosty the Snowman

Probably kids benefit more from being outside than whatever "learning" is occurring virtually.
My ex-niece got a 4.0 her first quarter, after failing German and English last year. Even she has enough awareness to have said, I am only doing well because it is so easy now.
