Melissa McCarthy AND Amy Schumer??? Pull my eyeballs out of their sockets with needle nose pliers. Sign me up!
I don’t mind Melissa McCarthy.
I think that McCarthy is legit funny and I enjoy her. HOWEVA, I have major beef with the elevated status that she gets from Hollywood types who used to commend her as the funniest person who ever lived.
She's female Danny McBride.

I caught the first episode of The Gentlemen the other night and will continue to watch. British crime show by Guy Ritchie, so if you've seen Snatch (congrats on the sex), Lock Stock, etc, you'll pretty much know what you're getting. Apparently it's loosely based on a Ritchie movie with McConaghy from a few years back but I have zero memory of that. In any case, plot moves along quickly, good performances, the British accents are at least easier to understand than Peaky. Soft rec at this point until I get further in.

Strong rec. Really enjoyed this one.
I also watched Gillis’s Beautiful Dogs while drunk last night. So funny.

Season One of 3 Body Problem was really good. The Game of Thrones guys adapted this Chinese sci-fi series and seemingly made it better by condensing it and making some composite characters to simplify the overall narrative. Some really good acting performances. I especially liked Ser Davos Seaworthy for GoT and Wong from the MCU.
Time will tell if Netflix lets them finish the series. And if they can improve on the disappointing third book.

I watched the first episode last night. Pretty decent start. Kind of confused but enjoyed for the most part. I enjoyed Samwell Tarly apparently being a former physics student who dropped out of school to start a potato chip company? Good times.

Beautiful Dogs started out great but lost some steam for me. I think I just got tired of Gillis's delivery. The jokes were pretty funny but I didn't laugh as much in the last 15 minutes.
