Balls why do you take cheap shots on the funniest man out there, Shane Gillis?
I’m not into bro culture like you and wolf, so idk his stuff other than his snl monologue
I don’t know what “bro culture” is. You could maybe sneak in his podcast instead of ruthless, or the progrum, or Megyn Kelly or whatever else it is you listen to
Believe it or not, it’s possible to listen to both comedy podcasts and political/news type podcasts. I do it all the time. Also Ruthless and the progrum are the same thing.

Dimitri Martin, Neal Brennan and Jimmy Carr all have Netflix specials this month, fyi.
Was Attell's new one any good? I have heard zero buzz about it (meaning, I don't remember it being mentioned here).
I haven't watched it yet. I'm very busy. Perhaps tonight.
I'll definitely be watching those others too. I'd go Carr > Martin > Brennan in terms of my enthusiasm, but I have enjoyed previous work from all 3 of them.

I watched Attell and Martin today.
Attell: Many many laughs, start to finish. It's short (He mentioned on Are You Garbage last week that it's 37 minutes, in honor of the 37 years he's been doing standup) and left me wanting more, but it's tremoundous. Just jokes. No real theme or message; just a master of his craft making people laugh with some of the same tools he's been using for decades - self-deprecation, exaggeration, and "made-up" stories of getting raped by Boy Scout leaders. Bonus points for filming it in San Francisco and getting the audience to laugh at jokes about topics that whiny assholes might say are taboo - Hamas, masks, and kid-fucking, to name a few. If you like him, you'll like this. If you don't like him, I don't like you.
Martin: Solid but not spectacular. Mostly what you'd expect from him - silly observational stuff and clever wordplay. He mixes in some visual humor through drawings and such, like his old Comedy Central show if you remember that, and it's also got some camera gags that probably make this better as a sit down and watch special rather than listen in the background. He might not be everyone's up of tea, but I like him and would give this one a rec if you've enjoyed his comedic stylings previously. I will say that I counted three jokes I've heard from him in the past. I realize it's hard to have new material all the time, but it seems like you shouldn't recycle material for the special taping.
