If interested you get to see my daughters red head boyfriend and a cameo at halftime by my ex wife as I try to get her attention to get the Dad next to her to help do the book.
The team we play tomorrow for the championship is not good and I have no idea how this team we played Wednesday had lost enough games to be the fourth seed.
We are in white, my daughter is 55. If you are wondering about heights of the players the girls that jump center are 5’11” and 6’1”. So this is a reasonable approximation of girls basketball.
Where's Denny?
he doesn’t go. He and I get along. He could go it would be no issue for me.

Why are their shorts so loose and long? /bsmb
ha, that’s funny because all of the better players wear the longer shorts. Sorry Balls

My team won the championship on Saturday AM.
We went undefeated and won all of our games by ten or more points.
A total wagon, as you guys would say.
With 3 minutes left and the ball up 13, I called a timeout and cleared the bench. Their coach put in his subs too. Some goofy girl on my team hits a 3. He immediately subs back in his starters with 2 minutes left and they score 5 more points.

Final 46-35.
I don't get some coaches.
Did you go Juwan Howard in the handshake line?
I did not. I didn't say anything. I just find it peculiar.
If you keep players on the team, and they go to all practices and workouts and give their best effort......
Should they play in each game?
Or should the best players play every minute unless it's a blowout.
I have 2 sons who both played high school sports at the JV level for a year or two, and I've umpired JV and freshman baseball many many times. My feeling is that at that level, all the players should get in every game regardless of the score. The whole point of JV and freshman athletics is to develop the players. Obviously Varsity is a different story and it's pretty normal for the end of the bench guys to only play in a blowout game.

co-sign with Prez
yeah I know you guys doubt it but I'm pretty objective. They have about 20 girls on the lacrosse team. There is probably about 6 girls who are good, the remaining 14 are interchangeable. My daughter is in the 14. The coach hasn't subbed in the past two games. That's one thing, but she's still playing girls who start who missed practice the day before, which I find egregious.
Why you would play C talent players over C- talent players who are committed and work hard is beyond me

Yeah that doesn't make sense. I'm with Prez and LDOT. At the freshman/JV level, if you're showing up to practice and giving a shit, you should get in the game.
I have a youth lacrosse story too. My pal-chum that I coach soccer with talked me into helping out with lacross this year. I've never played or watched the game in my life and until a couple weeks ago I think I had only held a lacrosse stick once in my life. But I can yell at 6-8 year olds and tell them to get back in line and stuff, so sure, I guess I'll help. Yesterday at practice there were 2 kids who had already been told once to stop hitting each other with their sticks, so when I saw one of them do it again I pulled him off the field and told him he had to sit out for a few. As I got him to the sideline, his dad informed me "He was hit first. He shouldn't have retaliated but why is he the only one being punished?" A fair question, but I told him I didn't see it start; I only saw him hit the other kid in the head, and it was at least his second warning. When I got back on the field, I noticed that thankfully another coach HAD seen the whole thing, and had also made the other kid sit out so it seems like we're all good.
Now, the reason I even bring this up is that the kid I removed from practice is the only black kid (out of nearly 60 kids in the whole program, and about 20 who were there last night). And the stupid fucking internet and all the fake race-baiting assholes out there had me fully expecting this dad to accuse me of punishing his kid because he's black. Thankfully he seems to be a non-dickhead and everything was fine. He also seems to realize his kid is kind of an asshole, and was later yelling at him for pretending to be hurt.
