I'm actually starting to feel bad for Bills fans. 20 years in Brady's shadow with no prayer of sniffing a division title. Then just as he's leaving, they finally get their guy and get their hopes up about the future. Except the next GOAT is already here and he's just gonna shit down your throats in the playoffs every single year.
It would be sad if it wasn't so goddamn hilarious.
Fuck that and fuck them. The absolute GLOATING and dancing they did once Brady left and self congratulations at their budding dynasty was one thing. The fascination and glorification of the Bills Mafia went from adorable little story to kinda sad. I mean, we get it. You guys smash shit. Cool, it's been like five years. Grow up.
Then you have tailor made situations to not only rally the world behind you (Hamlin appearing in last year's playoff game, and then a home game this year to slay the dragon against a subpar KC team). It would have been one of the greatest sports stories of my lifetime and something even the BSMB level forced contrarians couldn't seriously shit on, and you STILL shit the bed. You STILL do Bills things.
I like Allen. He seems like a good dude. But he's not it, and it looks like he will never be it because Mahomes has been anointed and the next one.

I basically agree, but if Allen isn't "it" then literally no one but Mahomes is it. For all the jokes about him being raw and whatnot, I'd drown every puppy in New England to trade QBs with the Bills.

tough to win when they don’t want you to win. You think the league is gonna let the Ravens beat the KC Swifts this week?

I adore a good conspiracy theory, but Baltimore is on another level than Buffalo. The Chiefs are not the same team as previous powerhouses. Burrow proved you can beat a Mahomes team, so I think Baltimore wins, but I will 100% be watching for horseshit calls that benefit Ol' Sidearm Pattycakes.

Ol' Sidearm Pattycakes made me laugh.
I won't be at all surprised if the Chiefs beat the Ravens with the help of a suspect call or 3, but the idea that the league actively scripts the result they want is dumb IMO.

I have no doubt NFL refs influence the games. I have no doubt the league hates Detroit. I have no doubt the league would be stoked to have Swift in attendance at the Super Bowl, but unless the Chiefs are shotgunning Ray Lewis' deer piss spray, I can't see how them at their best is better than Baltimore at their best.

Oh they definitely have their preferences for story/ratings purposes, and there have been plenty of times where bad calls have to make you wonder whether it's intentional. I just think we overblow how much they can influence the outcome of the games. Unless it's all pro wrestling and somehow everyone has kept their mouth shut about it being fake this whole time, which would be like the most impressive thing that's ever happened and I'd have no choice but to tip my hat to them. What kind of hat?

I mean, look at some calls Dallas has gotten the past few years, especially that night game against the Lions. The league definitely makes calls to favor one team over another. If the Ravens boat race them there is nothing they can do but if it is close…

My fear is a couple of game changing, field flipping calls for the Chiefs and against the Ravens, while not deciding the game right there, severely change the momentum of the game. A stupid hold that happens all game, a missed PI or an egregious PI, something like that.

All those calls for Dallas have really helped them.

Shocked a Pats “fan” wouldn’t think the NFL makes and/or overturns calls to benefit some franchises at the expense of another!
I mean, I agree that some teams seem to get more calls in their favor. I don't think there's some grand conspiracy to always help the Cowboys, Patriots, and Chiefs.
Also what Theny said.

this: 1000 times this. This is what the NFL does. Ravens have physical cornerbacks who skirt the rules (making that up) well send the refs who call the most PIs
