Crazy Cabbie died. He was really sick for a long time, idk what it was but he was in a wheelchair I believe.
We are old.
I barely remember him from the channel 9 days. I haven't heard a refence to him in many years. Has he made any appearances on the show since it went to S/XM?

Not really. I can’t remember the last time he was on. He competed in “Win Johns Job” but that may of been pre Sirius. He had both his legs amputated due to beetus
Here is some info about your hero, Big Nose Howard Stern, as told by The Great u/cormano
Thanks. Here's what I wrote previously about the lead up to the "Pelican Brief:"
He wasn't sure if the show would remain on SiriusXM and he kind of had a point.
Liberty Media saved SiriusXM from bankruptcy in 2009 with $530 million loan. They acquired 40% of the company and five seats on the board in return.
In 2012, Liberty was planning a hostile takeover. They asked to the FCC for full control of SiriusXM’s operating licenses. This created a tug of war between the two sides. Both Mel Karmazin and SiriusXM legal "scoffed at Liberty’s argument that ’40 is the new 50’" in regards to their share percentage.
Liberty let it be known that if they were unsuccessful in their petition, they'd buy up enough shares to gain control.
So, that's what they did. Soon enough, the writing was on the wall for Howard's boy Mel. Karmazin was "open" to staying at SiriusXM. Liberty, apparently, wasn't interested.
When it became clear Liberty media were going to take over and had no interest in keeping the old guard, Karmazin announced on October 23, 2012 that he was stepping down after a transition period. His last day would be February 1, 2013.
Liberty Media grabbed a majority on January 18, 2013. Leon Black, the man Howard credits for bringing him over to satellite, resigned days later.
The Pelican Brief would take place on February 5, 2013, just days after Mel's departure. Howard's $300 million lawsuit was also still in appeal.
It was perfectly reasonable to assume that Liberty just might decide to cut him loose.

Liberty Media also owns somewhere around 36% of Live Nation, which also owns Ticketmaster.
This is probably why fans have been scratching their heads at some of the musical guests that have been featured in the last couple years.
Live Nation practically own an artist's entire tour. They sell the tickets, the t-shirts, and even own the venues in a lot of cases.
John C. Malone is the founder of Liberty Media. He's also a board member of Warner Bros Discovery and the architect behind that merger.
HBO is also owned by Warner Bros Discovery.
It's probably not a coincidence that Howard is on HBO doing a giant commercial for Bruce Springsteen's Live Nation tour.
After the whole Taylor Swift/Ticketmaster debacle, who do you think was the only person defending the company that is regularly voted most hated?
You think Howard gives a shit about Kacey Musgraves or is Liberty Media pushing her Live Nation tour?
Howard's been playing the game for years now. He's a used car salesman at this point in his career and SiriusXM is the dealership.
Howard's value isn't just in subscribers. It's an established brand that can get a product featured in some bullshit like TMZ, People, or the MSN homepage.

What do you make of it?
It's interesting to put some names/dates/numbers on it, rather than just grumbling "Howard is a sellout".
