You realize that even though we can't see the old posts, we all remember you pretending this show was boring for several weeks, right?
Im not rewriting history. I am aware of my posts. I think the show is better than I used to think, but nowhere near Sopranos. And below Dexter for that matter imho.
Good season. Got a little convoluted the final couple eps for my pea brain. I didnt really get why Stringer met with Bunny, he's putting a target on his own back at the same time in theory.
Littlefinger is def a top 5 worst actor in Hollywood. Maybe he was better on Thrones, but that show was so stupid, who cared.
Ep 1 season 4, Fruit got got. I have to admit that I thought Fruit and Marlo were the same guy this whole time.
I dont know how people watched this before smart phones. Even with smart phones, i didnt know "Prez's" name til late season 3. He has been in the show since the first ep!
Its not as bad as Thrones, maybe bc Thrones was just retarded so who cared who who was, but man this is tough.
Carcetti's wife and campaign manager reversed hairstyles from season 3. Told you mj, they are kinda the same.
Season 4 is kind of convoluted. I will have thoughts when I complete it.
I will look forward to your thoughts. I never understood the love season 4 received. Seasons 4 and 5 were a significant drop off from the first three seasons, to me.

S4 was great, I agree that S5 was a disappointing.

- I find it unrealistic that the ghetto thugs are driving around listing to popular FM "rap" songs. For example: Jay Z - H to the Izzo, Ja Rule, 50, Ludacris, LL Cool J. Thats corny, not realistic IMHO. im aware its before itunes and shit, but they had CDs.
- This season 4, I feel like they are bending over backwards to get everyone involved in that school. Forced. Prez is like the focal point somewhat thru 5 eps. I didnt even know his name til the end of Season 3.
I do not dislike the season btw. I am just saying.

I finished this show yesterday during football (sports fan).
My opinion: It was really good. I was incorrect 10 years ago.
I have a few minor quibbles/thoughts on Season 5 I guess.
- I kept waiting for that newspaper schlub to get his comeuppance and he ended up getting away with his bullshit. Whitlock would likely tell me when I meet him in line to get a signed copy by him of the Wire DVDs that this is a systemic problem with journalism. They leadership wants awards, they dc about truth and will turn a blind eye. - Omar getting got by that child was anti climactic. I had to google who that kid even was bc he was such a minor character. "That just adds to the realism, you just never know when or where in the hood" /Whitlock probably. - I was sad that Dukie turned to heroin, wtf - Nice quick random cameo by Nick Sobotka in the season, yelling at Carcetti. - The final scene in the prison shows Chris and Wee Bey meeting up in the prison yard...lame that Avon wasnt there also. - When Slim Charles murked Cheese, how was Cheese even out? He agreed to 20, was he out on bail?
