The main Fox guy (Joe something, I forget) is just incredibly bland. When Buck was calling a WS game it 'felt' bigger. I think that's what Wolf is saying here about Costas. But what I saw on twitter the other night was Costas apparently was slobbering all over George Brett instead of calling the game.
Joe Davis and yeah he's very bland (plus he's the local Dodger guy I think, or at least was at one point). Brian Anderson I think is doing AL games and he's very bland too IMO. Adam Amin has been pretty bad at baseball which is too bad because I enjoy him as a college football guy. I would agree that Costas is the best one of the ones left. I saw that George Brett stuff too, that was weird.
Also Boog Sciambi is the best guy who has been a national person but I'm not sure even if he does national games anymore since he's the Cubs announcer.
Yeah, Sciambi was great as the national guy. Now ESPN is stuck with Karl Ravech. We're seeing how bad this generation of baseball announcers are because Joe Buck basically kept baseball PBP relevant on a national scale for so long.

hey balls note a theme here? You either love or hate your local play by play guy and if you love him you think he’s the best
Didn't Sean McDonough do some of the wild card games? He's also better than Costas. I may be biased again because I grew up on him calling Red Sox and Bruins games. But for my money, he's the most well-rounded guy out there and does a great job with all four sports.
Almost.
He looked and sounds like a Hamas hostage during his stint on Monday Night Football with Jon Gruden. He had zero interest in that pairing.
