Of wrasslers? I'm gonna take the easy way out and break them up by primary WWE and NWA/WCW:
WWE: Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Vince McMahon, Undertaker; HM: Andre the Giant, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, Iron Sheik NWA/WCW: Ric Flair, Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Sting; HM: Arn Anderson, Bill Goldberg, Wahoo McDaniel, Ricky Steamboat, Harley Race
Interesting and somewhat surprising picks though I would not make too many arguments against them.
If I may, I would argue that Austin's longevity versus Rock's short tenure would lean to his favor. But the current Final Boss Rock is fun.
Funk is a pleasant surprise pick, though clearly Race was a bigger name throughout (I was never that interesting in Race, tbh).
Thank you for your involvement in this discussion. It takes me back to when I was 14.
I grew up watching NWA wrestling (even saw a house show in Dorton Arena (in Raleigh))--we used to watch it every Saturday night at 11:30pm on local tv. Obviously hated Flair and the Four Horsemen but they helped make it all work. Rhodes and Flair cut the greatest promos. Hard Times is what every aspiring wrestler should watch.
My reasoning for these picks was their lasting impact on their respective business. While I agree Austin walked so Rock could run I think Rock crossing over into Hollywood and mainstream put him over the top in that particular category.
