While ushering at old Municipal Stadium during my late college years....
I was assigned to the lower deck right field section just inside the foul pole. A family of African-American people entered the section and sat down. If memory serves me correctly, there were six of them -- dad, mom, grandmother, and three kids.
I approached them to ask them for their ticket stubs and, since they were not in their assigned seats, I asked them to move along. It happened to be Bat Giveaway Day. The father, likely about 40-some, pointed the fat end of his bat in my face (about eight inches away) and said, "Let me tell you something, we are just letting my mother rest her legs here." I walked away, as trained to do.
My supervisor, 40-some large African-American woman, came around about an inning to an inning-and-a-half later asking if I needed anything. I pointed out the family since they were still sitting in the section.
Her reply, "Go tell those guys to get their beers off the wall".
She was referencing three Caucasian men, roughly 30 years old, who were sitting in the front row of the section and had their cups sitting on the wall in front of them.
The cups were removed by the gentlemen. No other action was taken by anyone.

My friends and I would sneak down to good seats all the time. Rarely were we asked to move or show ticket stubs, but it happened a few times.
It was prior to the contract with Great Lakes Brewery so, I assume, PissWater Lite
I think Cleveland Municipal Stadium at the time had Heilman's Old Style, Old Milwaukee and Lite Beer from Miller. That is what I remember drinking there. They would come in plastic cups covered in saran wrap. Deliciously awful.
I want them to bring back Cesar Hernandez, but I think that is doubtful.
Brad Miller may be a nice option, but I think he burned some bridges on the way out of town.
I will always say Derek Dietrich deserves a look.
I got this: Cesar Hernandez Brad Miller - didnt he play for the Bulls? Derek Dietrich
Miller was a one-time top prospect for the Mariners. I think either MTM or Rickey was a big fan of him in our fake baseball league. He sucks, I'm pretty sure. I've heard of the other guys too.
