But this entire game was more proof that the NFC East is just embarrassingly bad this year and that the four teams that make up the division should do the right thing and just give up this season. They can play the rest of the season and have some fun and let some players get some reps but they should give up their playoff spot to a team that actually deserves it, because these four teams deserve to be like us and watch the playoffs from their couches.
What Is the Worst Possible Record for the 2020 NFC East Champion?
In this scenario, let’s imagine that all four NFC East teams lose every single game against teams from other divisions. This isn’t likely—the division still has two games against the Bengals, and the Cowboys have a game against the hapless Vikings—but it’s definitely possible. And to maximize the badness of the division champion’s final record, we’re going to project the team with the worse record to win every single game. In this scenario, the 4-11-1 Eagles just barely edge out the 4-12 Cowboys. I’ve never imagined a more perfect playoff scenario. And we can dream: When ESPN ran 20,000 simulations of the season, the 4-11-1 Eagles were division champions 11 times. That’s a .05 percent chance—about one in 2,000, but I’ll take it. (They also had one scenario in which three teams went 4-12, and another where the 4-10-2 Eagles won the division.)
Have you factored in that every one of those teams has more than one player on it? Or that the Eagles also suck in spite of their super-duperstar QB?
Superstar Wentz vs 3 dog ass QBs is enough, if reputations especially in this town are to be believed.
There's really no reason the Eagles shouldn't win the division easily. But I wouldn't be confident in banging the over on 6.5 wins for any of these teams.

The Eagles could beat the browns. Those other four non NFC East games.....yikes

I could see them beating the Saints, too. I have no specific examples to provide, but they feel like a team that plays down to inferior opponents a couple times every year.

In November 2018, the Eagles Social Justice Fund granted the Philadelphia Community Bail Fund $50,000 to bail out eight people ahead of Thanksgiving. In December 2019, they granted another $15,000 to support our efforts to bring on full time staff.
