What do we think of Probst? He is a friend of the court.
OK, what the heck was with Probst asking if they were ok with being called "guys?" And they were...and then the gay flight attendant dude Ricard thought about it and all of a sudden, didn't feel like it was ok? Shut up. I call my directs guys in meetings - it's 2 women and a guy. Can I not do that anymore?
Overall, I am enjoying this cast. I didn't think Sara should have gone home - either Brad (fuck that guy) or JD (because he's playing hard) should have gone. Or Ricard. But probably Brad.
Abraham was pretty blind-sided. Surprised they went with him over Heather. Not sure that was the right move to keep that team strong.
Ha, my wife's stepfather was freaking out about this on FB last night and I didn't know the context.
Brad - I wanted to root for him because of his 80's afro commitment to looking like he played in Night Ranger but he seems completely inept at playing the game. He told two people to their face that they are on the chopping block and they were seemingly in his alliance. He survived by the grace of god.
Danny (NFL player) - Solid threat thus far
David (neurosurgeon) - Will be voted out because his vibe is that he is smarter than everyone and he will annoy people with that, especially those in his alliance
Evvie (queer) - Is she going to cry every episode?
Jarius (college kid) - Maybe he's just a positive dude, I dunno. But man, he comes across way too phony. And not in the good Seinfeld way.
Naseer (barely speak English guy) - He's a try too hard type
Ricard (stop saying "guys" guy) - He's exactly what we thought that he would be
Xander - Is he naïve and truthful and innocent? Maybe. Or does he sound like a dumb surfer not at all aware of what happens around him? I guess we find out.
Projected Final Four:
Ricard Danny Evvie Erika (as the chump who everyone knows will not get a vote)
Non-factors - Deshawn, Erika, Genie (literally said, "I don't want to vote anyone out". Jesus, do you not understand the game, at all?!?!), Heather, Liana, Shantel (listen, pastors can be real people too but talking about "cutting people's throats"?!? Yikes), Sydney, Tiffany

I like Danny and Evvie in the final 4 as well. I don't think Ricard will make it that far. I don't know about anyone else. Watching Xander and Jarius (JD?).
Yeah, Jarius is JD.
I lol'ed at him being a "superfan" then making a big decision by the eeeny-meeny-minney-moe method. He could win it but it seems like he will have to work though a minefield of problems mostly created by himself.
I also agree that Xander has some early traction. He seems likeable and non-threatening, that will help him a lot.

What's with these people gaining information then immediately telling someone else in the game? Xander finds the idol, tells people.
Evvie spills all the tea to the other team and everyone talks about their private decisions. FFS, keep a secret!
Probably a smart play to vote out Voce but Tiffany is useless. She's this year's prime contender for "loser who stays in the game to long because everyone knows she can't win". I hate that.
The LOL moment...
Xander, while he is hunting for an idol
"You have to throw all that you know about Survivor out the window because this is a whole new game". Yeah, dude, hunting for an idol is not new and is, in fact, perhaps the most vital aspect of every season.
Projected Final Four (week two):
Danny Deshawn Evvie Naseer

Erika is crazy if she doesn't flip the script. You're already on the bottom, don't worry about making the winning group angry
Agreed. I can't believe she didn't smash the thing right away in front of Jeff for picking Naseer over her. I can't wait to see their faces when/if she changes things up. I think Sydney goes home next. Or Evvie, but probably Sydney.
Sydney is wildly impressed with her own game despite the fact that they've not shown her making one single move yet. Yeah, she's probably gone soon

Pretty close call for Evvie there. Great move by Xander giving Tiff the idol and making Liana look dumb. She may be my least favorite player that's still there.
Unfortunately Evvie, Tiff, and Xander will probably start getting picked off. Unless the other alliance implodes and they start going after each other, which is very possible.
Yeah, making the fake idol was a great move. They better go after him or he can make a run.
Liana is making a lot of moves but she's not doing a good job of being secret about any of it. That alliance is on thin ice.

Shan is really starting to irritate me. Like, I get you are bitter about not getting food, but a little overreaction to RiCARD taking a tiny piece of papaya (though, he probably shouldn't have done that). Also, why is she running the show on every decision? I can see why DeShawn is annoyed with her. Hopefully they vote her out soon.
Team Xander here.
Xander is dominating this game.
Shan got absolutely fleeced by that fake idol move.
Evvie is gone soon unless she fits in as the dummy who they take to the final three because no one will vote for them. Good season thus far.

Xander just sits there with his idol avoiding ANYONE talking about him. It's amazing.
Shan: "Deshawn is out there trying to get you voted out"
Deshawn helps vote her out.
Shan: "YOU SNAKE!!!!!"
One of the problems with players of late is that everyone talks about making a BIG MOVE because that is what it takes to win, but they don't have the patience to wait it out. These dopes try making big moves with 10-12 people still in the game.

Mags - it's possible that I didn't pay close enough attention, but I just don't see Erika as the strong player that the others did. In a season that is "the hardest ever", there shouldn't be a weak winner like her.
Zander is young so he will likely be back on at least twice more in the coming decade. I am sure that Ricard will be back too and after spending time bragging about how good of a player he is, I think that I'd like to see him humbled.
All in all, it was an entertaining season but I didn't see any of these players as historically strong like Boston Rob, Sandra, and some of the other giants.
