I hate when blogs I enjoy reading suddenly pivot to podcasts or vlogs. I know they're easier to produce, but most people don't have voices worth listening to talk, and also I can read a blog post in 5-10 minutes, but to check out a podcast, I have to be invested.
I feel like Simmons was one of the first to do this.
