mj and Urn--tell me more about how CJ Stroud might project as an NFL QB. No reason for asking.
He has good size, arm and accuracy that would help in the NFL.
It is really difficult to project OSU QBs recently since generally their receivers are so wide open and they have been so much better than the other teams in the conference.
My guess is that his ceiling is an average NFL starting QB.

Having an arm is a good prerequisite for being a QB

My Bears fan friend constantly complains about this with Fields. His receivers are instantaneously open like they were at tOSU (mostly because the Bears receivers aren't good), so he immediately breaks down (the Bears o-line sucking doesn't help here) and the play falls apart. He's talented enough that sometimes he can salvage a big play out of this but it's tough to actually develop a pro offense like that.
Good read on one of my favorite Ohio State basketball players. Those teams were so good. Still can't believe they lost to Michigan in the elite 8 in 1992.
