From my office I can see the front yard and street. So yesterday, while I was watching film and college games on the computer, I saw three of the neighborhood kids playing Ding Dong Ditch and they hit my place three times, though I never got up to answer the door. Hey, have some fun, kids. I don't really mind.
I ordered some pizza today (Papa Johns) for some lunch, so the kids knew that I was home. One of them decided to ding dong ditch me again. This time, I never answered the door but instead went and stood at it waiting for him to return. I can see out without them really seeing in (high window with curtain).
Didn't even take five minutes.
Just as his hand was about to hit the button, I slung the door opened and he nearly shit himself. I said, "What's up?". Showing strong composure, he replied, "Uhhhh, can I get some water?"
I said "no" and he slunk off, head and shoulders down, saying "dang".
Dang indeed, young boy. You been got.
