Pretty sure I'd heard this story about Mark O'Meara leaving Tiger after a couple holes into a round but further proof Tiger's dominance in golf will never be matched
I listened to Fred Funk on the SubPar podcast and he told the story of riding in a courtesy car with Tiger after the first day of the Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills where Hal Sutton paired up Tiger and Phil.
Funk had to ask Tiger 3 times how it went with Phil before Tiger would answer.
Tiger said, "Phil was useless. He didn't help me on one shot. He can't keep the ball on the golf course. He doesn't know where the ball is going. He doesn't know how far he is going to hit it."
Can't believe Sutton sent out those two again the next day.
