There were people that did this with the Redskins too. When I used to listen to the ESPN fantasy football podcast regularly, Matthew Berry - who used to say "Hail to the Redskins" on virtually every pod - started referring to them as simply "Washington" regularly, long before the name was actually changed.
What I'm saying is that people are faggots.
Why is anyone even offended by the name Braves? I get why people got their panties in a bunch over Redskins and even understand why the Tomahawk Chop or Chief Wahoo and that stuff has come under fire. But "Braves" "Chiefs" "Seminoles" I don't get why anyone would be offended by those nicknames. If anything it seems to pay homage and show respect to the native American tribes.
They're offensive, dammit!
Meanwhile, let's go Irish, Vikings, Yankees, Canadiens, Canucks, Celtics... etc!

Throw Indians in there too.
In elementary and middle school in Cleveland we were taught the Native American history of the area. It was treated as important subject matter.

Agreed, obviously. Redskins is a straight up racial slur, so I get it. I’ll even reluctantly grant that Indians could be seen as offensive since they’re only called that because some moron didn’t know geography 500 years ago. The others are just naming your team after a group of people. The word Braves or Chiefs is not in any way derogatory. So how is this any different than Texans, Metropolitans, Royals, Patriots, Irish, Padres, or a host of other teams?

I find the term Panthers offensive. Mostly because of the way they perform on the footballing field though.

don't understand trading assets and pushing to make the playoffs when the outfield all died, half the rotation has been out, and the bullpen seems like it's been ravaged by injuries but actually they just all really really really suck
it's not happening this year (hint: see what happens every time you get or almost get to .500)
EVEN COLDER, DUMBER TAEK!!! WHO LISTENS TO THIS GUY? WHAT A MAROON!!! WHAT AN IDJET!!!!! GLAD NO ONE HEEDED HIS WORDS!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
a real rollercoaster going on here. i do not think this team can continue to win with the current pitching staff and a lot of guys batting above their weight, but impressive comeback to this point.
the NL East turned into a dumpster fire, so there's a good shot at making the playoffs
but, to go back to why I didn't and don't get trading for a new OF, the bullpen is still so goddamn awful, it won't matter how great the starters and batting order are, no lead is safe, they're not winning a playoff series
that said, theny should love that run differential!
BOO THIS IDIOT! YOKEL WAS RIGHT! HE IS A NEGATIVE NANCY!
