that's the weird part of the stats to me. wouldn't all the 7 inning games make the first column shorter? I guess there are more extra inning games than double headers, but even so, it should have affected the average vs prior years. anyway, agreed on the overall point that Manfried sucks and his ideas suck.
I heard a caller to Mad Dod lament the other day (it may have been the JT the Brick show) about a day/night doubleheader at I think Nationals where they clear you out so they can get 2 gates. But they charge full single game prices for 7 inning games.
