That was...something. I was kinda hoping DeVonta Smith would have 400 yds receiving but alas it wasn't to be. Saw someone compare him to Steph Curry on the twitters last night. That's an apropos comparison--slight build compared to other guys in his sport but electric to watch when they're on top of their game. And credit to Sark for putting him in a position to make plays.
Fields had to be great for OSU to even hope to keep up with Alabama's offense and after Sermon went out that was even more apparent. It says something about Alabama when the second best team in the country could only come within 28 points.
I posed this question on twitter last night--who wins between this Alabama team with a healthy Jaylen Waddle and last year's LSU team?

i wrote game over in my notebook when Smith ran that deep slant and the coverage shifted to a big white linebacker. that's one of those plays where if you're an OSU fan i assume you just Joker laugh and pour some more booze. i have a lot of experience in this but never as a winning team so maybe it's different when you expect good things.

That was mystifying. I know Smith is impossible to stop, but they seemed to have no plan whatsoever. So many times he was just running free through the secondary.
I was fearful Smith would have a Sammy Watkins game against me, and he did in the first half.

I was rooting for Ohio State because Alabama fans really don't deserve nice things (I'm far enough removed from Columbus to disassociate myself with the crazier Buckeye folk), but it is a really likable team. Sark was in his bag last night, too. Holy crap.

Saw someone on twitter (forget who) last night say they can't wait until next fall when Texas fans are complaining about why their offense doesn't look like Bama's did last night.
