Is there a big difference between the various Rokus? I kind of want to get one, so we can watch current Netflix. (It drags on our 7-year-old TV's app, plus we can't watch the "choose your own adventure shows" like Black Mirror or the Kimmy Schmidt movie.)
I was just going to grab a 30 dollar one off Amazon, but with my luck I'd get a shitty one.

We have a Roku Express on the kids' TV and it works just fine, have had no issues with the streaming and it's not particularly close to the wireless router.
ETA: The biggest reason I prefer our Amazon Fire Stick on the main tv is that there are volume controls on that remote, which the Roku doesn't have.

Which streaming service are the cool kids using this day? I need to get the fuck away from my current internet/cable provider because the service is dog shit, so I'm switching to Cox for internet irregardless. But their cable/internet bundles are retarded expensive, and they don't seem to have the huge new customer discounts anymore. Seems like it would be cheaper to finally get rid of cable. What do you fmaggots use?

After dealing with Sling (no live sports or local channels), PlayStation Vue (dropped NESN the day of a Bruins playoff game, if I recall), and YouTubeTV, we eventually came back to cable and just have to bitch every six months or so to get a new, lower deal. Between the internet bill, the monthly fee for the platform, it ended up pretty even and we weren't really saving enough to warrant the hassle.

Hated Sling.
Love YouTubeTV.

I just use Netflix and Prime. Sports either watch OTA for network stuff like the Owl or pull up an illegal stream on my tablet. Movies from the public library.
I really like YoutubeTV. It's not really a money saver at this point but it's nice that I could just theoretically cancel it without a commitment and switch back to Sling or something during a slower sports season.
We also have Netflix, Prime and Disney Plus. All things considered it's definitely not cheaper than cable.

We have YoutubeTV as well and prefer it over Sling. We also have Netflix, Prime, Disney Plus, and STARZ. So...yeah.
