anyway I’ve re watched it another 10 or so times after about 10 yesterday, and I’m elevating from manslaughter to murder. Originally I thought he spun himself around to try to do some weird check and his leg flailed more than he meant to. But no, he went straight in with his lead skate for obviously intentional sweet chin music.
I talked to my Q friend today on the phone, we love to chat. He played low level pro hockey, and tells me he was really good but has had 8 shoulder surgeries, forcing him out. He's a goon too, like this murderer. He tells me he lead his high school league in points and PIMs.
I asked if he thinks its intentional murder. He said no way, he thinks the guy clearly was trying to hit the guy, maybe injure him, like maybe he meant to kick him in the chest. He said its so fast that its impossible in his minds eye that the assailant meant to slit the guys throat.
I am not convinced, but at least its an opinion from a hockey guy.
I havent seen this reported, but he said the murderers teammates said he was inconsolable and hasnt been talking to anyone. He thinks the guy will never play again. I also disagreed with that.
