One more thing on season 3 finale. Jim has the nice haircut for his interview at corporate. That was the first time all season they used his real hair. He had filmed a movie with Clooney that year that requires a shorter haircut, so he was wearing a piece the whole season.
Starting to see the finish line on my series binge, I'm about half way through season 8. I'll hold off on my judgement of the series with/without Steve Carell, but I will say that the Robert California character is really annoying. I've never been a fan of James Spader anyways, and he just seems wrong on this show.

I'm not going to stan for Robert California, but Spader absolutely CRUSHED Alan Shore on Boston Legal. C-R-U-S-H-E-D

No one appreciates Robert California the first time through.
I found The Oral History Of The Office podcast on Spotify. Hosted by Kevin. A little overproduced but better than Office Ladies. Anyways Seth Rogen and Patton Oswald both auditioned for Dwight Shrute.
I finished the series, all 201 episodes. It's a great show, I'm glad I watched it in order. Seasons 8 and 9 were a definite drop in quality but they did a decent job of holding it together and I thought the Finale was very strong. The underrated MVP of the series was Kevin, consistently brought the laughs. The MVP of tits was Jan and her wonder-bra. Worst (major) character: Robert California. Best (minor) character: Todd Packer.
The two Texas brothers accused of slaughtering four family members before killing themselves said they easily got weapons because gun control is “a joke” — and were sent off the rails partly from watching TV’s “The Office.”
“The first and most important show we watched was ‘The Office’,” Farhan wrote, bizarrely calling the show one of “four very important issues I encountered throughout my life.”
He then ranted about how the show “should’ve ended when [Steve Carell’s character] Michael left” because “eventually it went s–t” — ranting at length at plot and character developments that enraged him
“People say the finale makes up for it, which is a complete lie. Sure it was cute, but it doesn’t justify the last few s—y seasons we had to deal with,” he wrote, saying he had “a lot more I want to say but hey, life is short.”
“We kept watching until February 21, 2021. That’s the day my older brother came into my room with a proposition: if we can’t fix everything in a year, we’ll kill ourselves and our family,” he wrote of the show.
