The umpire fucked up on two fronts here: He fucked up the ruling and the pitch. Conforto intentionally stuck out his elbow to get hit by the pitch which does not make him out, but does negate the HBP. The umpire is supposed to call the pitch, WHICH WAS A STRIKE!

I think booing your team is stupid. The only "acceptable" time to boo your team is for lack of effort, concentration or your coaches making stupid decisions. I booed more than once at John Cooper. UEM knows what I mean.
With that being said, the Mets doing the thumbs down thing and admitting it was a clap back at the fans is also very stupid.
