I was walking Scarlett around my neighborhood last night after work. There was this woman that looked like she was trying to engage with me. She was a CAT 2 on the 76 scale , slightly overweight mid-30s, so I smiled and walked on.
After I walked past she came back up to me and asked if we could talk and it would only take a minute.
She then told me her wife was in the hospital and had stomach surgery and had an aneurysm so she was fund raising. I told her I only give to established charities, and she replied charities haven't helped her and her wife.
I kind of just walked on at that point.
Were her actions appropriate? Her actions seemed odd to me.

This brush fire in CT is abut 1.5 miles from my house. It's been burning for days and not under control yet.
hopefully nothing happens to you or your family
Thanks. My house should be safe and the rest of my family is not near the fire. A buddy of mine who's on my dart team is a former fire fighter, and a friend of his died in the fire today. Also his parents live right near the fire. That pic could be on their street. It's pretty bad, they're sending in a forestry team tomorrow to attempt to control the fire with helicopter water drops.
I assume the helicopter water drops are useful since they’re still doing them after all these years, but they look so worthless when you see footage of it.
