Watched Blacked Panther 2. It was there.
The MCU needs to get the Fantastic Four and X-Men up and running posthaste. The roster is awfully thin right now; severely lacking characters that people have heard / cared about.
Took the oldest to Ant Man 3 on Friday evening. Pretty decent. Lots of CGI backgrounds, random Bill Murray cameo, decent action, some funny bits.
Of course, all the heroes were miniaturized people. After the movie, my son asked me what miniaturized people have ever even accomplished in real life, and I thought he made a good point.
Some weird choices with the cast, Ant Man's crew from the first 2 movies aren't in it at all. The guy as Kang was excellent, Michael Douglas is looking really old but still collecting paychecks, mj would not like Evangeline Lilly's short haircut.
{Spoiler} So they killed off the awesome Kang and then at the end reveals that all the Kang variants are gathering but they're wearing stupid outfits and talking in weird-ass accents/voices for some reason. Seemed like a miss.

My kids have asked to see this this afternoon. I’m pretty sure they haven’t seen the other And Man movies. Does it matter?

Not really. He can shrink and get big. He got erased by Thanos so he missed out on 5 years of his daughter's life and that makes him sad. And Michelle Pfeiffer was in the super-little world for a long time.
I think that's about all you need to know from previous movies, at least that don't involve spoilers for this one.

I took the boys to this yesterday. Your primer was sufficient for me to get the gist of what was going on, and I enjoyed the film. The kids loved it. The first thing they usually say about almost any movie with an end-credits scene is, "It was good. There's gonna be a sequel!" Yeah guys, they've made like 30 movies in ths universe now; they're gonna keep milking it.

Sounds like Marvel has a huge problem with Jonathan Majors. The entire phase is dedicated towards his character, but reports indicate he is an absolute psychopath IRL.

The fixable answer is that they can sub someone in by using the multiverse angle, I guess
