I was going to try and see it yesterday afternoon. But with the Xmas break, too many people there. I hate going to full showings. Too many shit heads. Will try next Tuesday.

I was seated next to a 14 year old girl. Her and her family were already seated when we got in, and she was already leaning back in the recliner. I thought that would be incredibly awkward to do the same so I sat upright for the entirety of the movie.
Shang Chi was really entertaining. Like a top 5 Marvel movie for me. Was potentially shooting even higher but the ending got a little weird, but overall really entertaining for a character I know absolutely nothing about.
This is my treadmill movie of the moment. I am probably halfway through. Thoughts so far:
1. Shang and awkwafina are an odd match, I like them better as buddy cops than future romantic partners (I assume this will happen, if she doesn't die heroically or something)
2. Bus fight, very cool. My brain: Hey this is the song from the pro bowl commercials
3. His sister is kind of a bitch
4. Kind of a LOT of happy coincidences to get them out of dad's prison and into the forest. Screaming thespian with convenient exposition and a pig/bird that knows the forest are in the room next door, sister can destroy walls and knows the sewers, etc
My kids want to see it. My wife overheard some strangers at the coffee shop say there were some scary parts, so now she doesn’t think it’s appropriate. OK.
