The current Jeopardy super champ is introduced every day as PhD student from New Haven, Connecticut, which means that yes, he's a Yalie named Matt. I have been unable to determine his opinion on Jimmy Buffett.

Anyway, he did an interview with the Danbury News Times, but it's behind a paywall. I found this paragraph relevant, though:

I’m proud to represent Connecticut! I’ve had such a great time at Yale, and I love New Haven. It’s such a lively place with a lot of interesting stuff going on at all times, and the friends I’ve made here are great. Oh, and the pizza is pretty darn good, too. (I know it’s always a hot topic, but I’ll take Pepe’s any time!)

So this Matt Amodio guy is STILL on his run. As impressive as it is, I kinda hate him and I'm not sure why. Keep in mind I DVR Jeopardy and FF through the interviews so I actually know nothing about him other than how he plays.

-bjs, I'm interested how he is being portrayed in the "Jeopardy community"

not sure it actually qualifies as a game show since there is no prize and the contests are staged, but i watched the pilot of that jimmy fallon celebrity game show. difficult to suspend disbelief because it's clearly rehearsed, but it is still kind of entertaining. Like WWE for chicks who like celebrities. They spray Ariana Grande with water at the end, i'm sure that's already been turned into 1000 porn gifs as that happened in real time inside my brain.
