My best guess is 18, all of which were assigned in school and long gone from my memory. Anthem is the only Ayn Rand book I've read and was the reason I bought my first Rush album, 2112. (The song is loosely based on the book). TRU story: the summer after reading Anthem and buying the 2112 album, my best friend (and next door neighbor) and I, smoked weed and listened to that album every day while playing air guitar/air drums. It was glorious.
