Speaking of remote learning--our school district is shutting down tomorrow because of the tropical storm and will be doing virtual instruction. I HATE that this became a normal thing after Covid. Let these poor kids have a day off for goodness sake.

ITA. We went back to regular snow days here, fortunately. A random unexpected day off from school is one of the great pleasures of childhood, and we should not be taking this away by forcing them to have a fucking Zoom meeting with their faggot teachers.

I remember seeing a story on a CBS news program early on in the pandemic and the reporter said something like, "We just all need to work from home and stay at home for a few weeks, and we will get through this together".
