My favorite part was the end. “If the women’s game is on at a bar people will ask to turn it off.” “Yeah because they get to see it less.” Fucking… what? Your entire retarded argument is based on the premise that it doesn’t make money because it’s not marketed/aired enough. But when confronted with a scenario where it’s specifically being aired and people still don’t want to watch… it’s because they don’t air it enough?
This isn’t even about being anti-woman or anything. In every sport that has ever been played, it’s more enterprise watch when the players are better. Period. High school is better to watch than little league. College is better than high school. Pro is better than college (despite what you football people pretend). And at every one of those levels, the guys are bigger/faster/stronger than the girls so they’re more entertaining. No marketing budget on earth is going to change that.
I will sorta grant the “more skilled” point she was trying to make. This is less and less relevant at higher levels, but with kids the girls tend to be much more fundamentally sound. They’re “better” at the basic stuff. But it’s specifically because their bodies aren’t big/strong/fast enough to do the fancy stuff as well as the boys. If they don’t master the technique, they’re gonna get left in the dust by people who are just more athletic than them and don’t need to be as fundamentally sound to beat them.
ETA: And of course 99 is 100 on the “why are there two leagues?” point. That should end every argument on this idiotic topic.
