In my experience most of the networks play election night as close to the vest as possible on election night to not give off any "cheering for a certain candidate" vibes.
I was mostly watching NBC on election night and got that same vibe. I felt like both Chuck and Savannah were in borderline physical pain trying to play it straight, but ultimately they did a pretty good job of not saying the things they wanted to say.

Kristallnacht – the "Night of Broken Glass" – is when Nazis, among them many ordinary Germans, terrorized Jews throughout Germany and Austria. They killed at least 91 people and vandalized 7,500 Jewish businesses

Tucker on the other hand simply asked him what was going on, and the guy explained, Tucker found his excuse acceptable, and he began chatting with the guy. What a cool dude Tucker is
