If "trans health care" refers to the legality of trans people going to a doctor, then I agree with paje that this is a bad thing. If "trans health care" means giving hormones to 5 year olds to prepare for their upcoming sex reassignment surgery, then I will gladly vote for whoever wants to criminalize that. If it's somewhere in between, I need more information in order to form an opinion on the matter.

I have no idea. I'm just speculating about what this quote refers to. If someone actually wants to make it illegal for trans people to get health care, then that person sucks. I'm a bit skeptical about that as well, but if that's what's going on here, then (checks notes...) Elliot is right to call these people out for it. I'd be more likely to believe we are playing fast and loose (not unlike UEM's mom) with the defintion of "health care" to make these alleged politicans look like bigger assholes than they really are.

That's not how fucking death works. When someone/something dies, you don't just pretend it never existed. Bruce Jenner and Ellen Page and whoever the fuck else were people. There is plenty of evidence to prove it. If I call Caitlyn Jenner "Bruce" then feel free to say I'm being an asshole. If you say "Caitlyn Jenner was awesome in that decathlon," then you're just making up things that never happened. Bruce Jenner won the decathlon. Now I guess he's dead or something; that part is kinda confusing tbh. I'm all for calling people what they want to be called; that's just basic human decency. But you don't get to just pretend previous events didn't happen or that a person with a different name was never real and that I'm a bad guy for saying that Ellen Page was in Juno.
