I'm watching the LLWS right now and just noticing how mentally challenged the state/region affiliation is.
Connecticut and Rhode Island are NOT in the New England region. Wisconsin is NOT on the Great Lakes region (but Kentucky is). Colorado is NOT in the Mountain region. Also, some regions have 3/4 states and others 8... I'm sure that's based on population or number of chartered leagues, but it might be time to rename/reconfigure the regions.
My wife recently joined the board for the club where my kids play hockey. The club is required to inform board members of all SafeSport violations, so at last night's meeting they shared a disciplinary tale from the boys U18 team. Apprently there's a kid on the team (his name was not disclosed but rumor is he's a senior at Tankville High School) who's gotten in a lot of trouble at school for drinking and drugs and general shitty behavior, but until recently had stayed out of trouble with the hockey team. Until last week, when he allegedly pissed in a teammate's water bottle before a game and somehow the kid went through the whole game without knowing it. After the game while the piss-drinker was in the shower, the accused went on to dump the remains of the aforementioned piss bottle in the kid's shoes. The smell in the shoes is what tipped the kid off, after he presumably drank piss during the game and didn't know it.
The coach (a good dude who P2 has played for before, but who 100% does not have the personality to handle high school kids IMO) tried to pass this off as "a prank gone wrong" but it pretty clearly violates all the hazing/bullying rules that the organization and SafeSport have in place. So the kid has been kicked off the team obviously, and the high school coach (apropos of nothing, he lives in my neighborhood and has a kid in P3's kindergarten class) has been informed of this incident so he presumably won't make the high school team this year now either. Sounds like a fun teammate.

You said allegedly. Did he confess or was there proof?
I said allegedly because I don’t know the whole story so I’m unsure of proof/confession.
And I don’t know how anyone could press charges. Maybe you haven’t heard, but crime is legal now.
I guess my one Q is, how did it become "he peed in the water bottle" if the guy didn't notice? Maybe the asshole just dumped piss on his shoes?
Valid question. I can only tell you what my wife told me, which was told to her by a man named Anthony Giusto (who everyone calls "Juice"). If you can't trust that source, then what are we even doing here anymore?
